How To Spot Great Bread

Bread does not have to be a brick to be good for you. Look out for ingredient listing. Good quality ingredients make a good quality product. Choosing your Gourmet Bread or Continental Bread does not have to be a painful task. First decide what flavour you expect form your bread. Do you prefer Rye or Wheat based breads, lots of taste or just a hint of your desired flavour? Look for the crust, crisp, solid or soft which ever way you like it.

All Dallas Breads are manufactured with minimal usage of commercial raising agents, but utilize ancient techniques to bring our breads to perfect volume and size. These methods give you a loaf of bread, with enhanced flavour and better digestive values than purely yeast risen bread.

Look at the nutritional information to find information on all Breads. This info refers to Low in Salt, Low GI, High in Dietary Fibre, Low in Saturated Fat, etc.. For any claim of interest for you refer to the back of the packaging or go to the link “Nutritional Facts”.
When buying Anthony's Fine Bread watch out for a crisp crust. To give it authenticity, like all breads baked in Italy, we bake on stone. This not only gives it a thicker crust, but also a much better flavour. All this factors have to be considered when choosing you Continental Bread. Other choices are floured or plain with a shiny crust.

Watch for shape. Authentic Breads are slightly inconsistent in shape due to hands on molding. Every baker molds slightly different. This is a desired feature and should not be mistaken as a fault in manufacturing.
‘I am writing to inquire if you have any outlets in Western Australia that stock your “extremely delicious” Fruit Cob loaf?

I was recently in Sydney and I was fortunate enough to have some of your “Famous Fruit Cob” and I did manage to purchase one loaf to take home with me.

It’s pretty unlikely, I know, that you have an outlet in Perth, but I just thought I would ask.

This loaf is by far the best I have EVER tasted!!!’

Yours faithfully,
Wendy Ward
